Wholeness: A Full Body Massage

Full body massages where each massage therapist brings their unique touch to the table.

A full-body, integrative session designed to restore balance from head to toe.
While the structure and intention are shared, each therapist brings their own unique background, techniques, and style of touch.

No two sessions are alike, but every one is crafted to help you feel more at home in your body.
Rather than choosing a specific style, this session allows your therapist to work intuitively with your body’s needs that day—drawing from their personal toolkit to guide the treatment in real time.
Think of it as a deeply personalised experience, grounded in presence, care, and a whole-body approach to healing.

I find that it is more about getting a sense of your Massage Therapist and their ability to hold space and provide the treatment you want rather than the specific technique! It's a personal journey—when it clicks, you just know. We encourage you to explore sessions with each of us to discover who feels like the right fit for you.

With so many massage styles out there, choosing the “right” one can feel overwhelming. That’s why at Chia's Place we love the holistic approach—it’s not about fitting into a specific category, but about creating a session that’s wholly you.

In scientific terms, holistic means considering the body as an interconnected system—not just isolated muscles or symptoms. It acknowledges how the nervous, lymphatic, muscular, endocrine, and even emotional systems influence each other.

01

Focus

Everyone experiences touch differently, so we begin each session with a brief conversation to understand your needs, preferences, and any areas you'd like us to avoid or focus on. This way, the treatment becomes entirely yours—comfortable, personalised, and aligned with how you’re feeling on the day.

03

Technique

Chia: More towards deeper pressure, Chia incorporates essential oils, slow and deeper techniques, and loves a scalp massage!
Agata: Incorporating her knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Facelift tension releasing techniques, light to medium pressure.
April: calming, and deeply restorative, April’s touch is intentional and grounding.

02

Purpose

Aims to support whole-body regulation by reducing stress hormones by reducing stress hormones (cortisol and adrenaline), enhancing the release of oxytocin and serotonin, improving peripheral circulation, and relieving muscular tension—promoting a state of physiological and emotional balance.

04

Duration

Full Body: 1 hour, 90 minutes, or 2 hours

So, let's discuss the benefits deeper:

Not everyone feels immediately comfortable with touch—and that’s okay. Whether you've had a past experience that put you off, or you're simply unsure about massage, we're here to meet you where you are.

At Chia’s Place, our approach is always slow, respectful, and collaborative. If you're curious but hesitant, we can explore small, gentle steps together—starting with breathwork, grounding techniques, or light touch in areas that feel safe. You’re always in control, and nothing happens without your full consent.

Still, it’s worth knowing what massage can do:

  • Support your immune system by lowering cortisol, boosting white blood cells, and improving sleep.

  • Enhance circulation, helping your body deliver oxygen and nutrients more efficiently.

  • Aid detoxification by supporting lymphatic flow—especially helpful for those with a sedentary lifestyle or fluid retention.

  • Soothe the nervous system through calming touch and therapeutic essential oils, which are absorbed through the skin to promote balance and well-being.

Massage can be a powerful tool—but it doesn't need to be overwhelming. It's not about “fixing” anything—it’s about helping you feel more at ease in your body, one step at a time.

What to expect

Consultation – We’ll discuss your medical history, lifestyle, and areas of discomfort to create a personalized treatment plan. This also helps determine whether tools like dry needling, cupping, or deep tissue work are suitable for you.

Your hands-on treatment will be tailored to support your whole-body balance—addressing not just muscle tension, but also your nervous system, circulation, and overall sense of ease. Each therapist draws from their unique toolkit to guide the session intuitively, using techniques that meet your body where it’s at that day. Therapeutic oils may be used to enhance the process, chosen for their specific calming, energising, or detoxifying properties—absorbed through the skin to support healing on multiple levels.

Post-Session Review & Plan – After your massage, we’ll discuss key findings, areas of tension, and recommended next steps. You’ll also receive a follow-up document outlining what we discovered and a plan for continued progress.

Contraindications & Health Considerations

If you have any medical conditions that may affect your treatment (such as pregnancy, circulatory disorders, or recent injuries), please review the contraindications before booking. Some conditions may require adjustments to the treatment plan, while others may mean that certain techniques are not suitable. If you’re unsure, please contact me beforehand, and we’ll find the best approach for you.

Why don't you do longer than 90 minutes for remedial massage? Longer sessions can lead to fatigue for both the therapist and the client, potentially diminishing the effectiveness of the treatment. A 90-minute session is typically sufficient to address specific issues while ensuring you remain comfortable and engaged.

It's my first time coming, and I usually get a full body massage, but I have an ache I want to work on. What should I do? We can certainly tailor your session to focus on your specific needs. I will start with a brief consultation to assess the dull ache and then we can work on it a bit longer. Just remember, when we use that time to zone in on the area, it does take time away from the rest of the body. I do my best to make sure you feel you've had a complete full body! But that is why I have the two options- so if you want to have the full body experience first we can then tailor a remedial massage for your next session. It works best as well because we would have had a "full scope" of your body in the Full Body massage.

What oils do you use? I use grapeseed oil as the carrier oil, which is known for its lightweight texture and excellent absorption. It also offers benefits like moisturizing the skin, being rich in antioxidants, and having anti-inflammatory properties. Along with the carrier oil, I have signature blends for specific needs: Anxiety: Promotes relaxation and calmness Calm: Enhances tranquility and reduces stress Muscle: Provides relief and soothes soreness

Can I relax during a remedial massage? Absolutely! While remedial massage focuses on specific issues, many clients find it relaxing. Your relationship with pain is key; some people enjoy deeper pressure and may even fall asleep, which can greatly facilitate the work on the muscles.

Do you talk during your sessions? I let you lead the way in terms of conversation. During a remedial session, I tend to check in more frequently to gather feedback as we work through different muscle groups. However, if you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, I'm happy to take your cue and allow for quieter moments.

Why don't you do shorter than an hour? Sessions shorter than an hour often don’t provide enough time to effectively address your needs. A minimum of one hour allows us to thoroughly assess your condition and apply the appropriate techniques for a meaningful treatment experience.

I’m postnatal—when can I get a massage, and which one should I book? The timing for a postnatal massage depends on your type of birth, the specific areas you want to address, and how comfortably you can lay on the table. I always adapt the sessions to suit your needs, ensuring you feel comfortable and supported. Feel free to give me a call
